Where have I been?

Posted by Lily Max on 17 January 2010 | 0 Comments

Sorry cats, I've been floating
down the river in a matchbox.
Nah just kidding. I've been stuck
up the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Nah
just kidding again. Actually
I've been herding camel across
the Mojave desert. Nah kidding
again.
Truth is I've just been on
holiday. At home. Mucking about.
And, thing is, tomorrow I leave
to go on the - once a year -
Maxwell Small beach holiday.
I am soooooooo excited I've got
sand in my ears. Kidding. Back
soon. love Lily Max xx

I Still Don't know why those noses are Hairy!

Posted by Lily Max on 17 November 2009 | 2 Comments

Hi Friends. That's a good point
Amelia. The Hairy Nose Wombat
society still haven't got back to
me, (they must be stuck down
a wombat tunnel or something?)
So I still don't know for sure
why some wombats' noses are
hairy.
I think my headmaster
Mr Rowntree - who is in fact
from Mars not earth - has hairs
on the top of his nose to stop
flies getting in his filled-roll
lunch. Mr Rowntree is also
approximately 500 years old
and cannot abide running around
corners.
Has anyone else out their got
a truly weird headmaster??
Back before you know it...
Lily Max xx
ps. I'm off to make a summer
nightie out of an old egg blue
sheet. First I'm painting-on big
yellow daisies. Then I'll cut out
2 long singlet shapes, sew up the
sides &shoulder straps and voila
one summery dreams nightie.

Why are Hairy-nosed Wombats' noses hairy?

Posted by Lily Max on 4 November 2009 | 0 Comments

Big mish trying to find
Wilhemina in Aus. Repeat
big mish. The only wombat
I saw in fact was a very hot
wombat in Dreamworld. But
I discovered that, there is a
very cute variety of wombat,
with a hairy-nose, called -
you guessed it - a
'Hairy-nosed wombat'.
And Yes, it has hair on the
outside of its nose (like
Mr Rowntree my headmaster
who you haven't met yet).
I'm going to find out why their
noses are hairy and do a report
on my school projects page.
SOON. So look out for the link.
Happy back at school days to you.

How did your handbag turn out??

Posted by Lily Max on 12 October 2009 | 0 Comments

Angelica and I got so hungry making ours,
we had to have the great-cookie-bake-off
afterwards.
Angelica and I adore baking and most
especially licking the bowl!
We made vanilla biscuits in the shape
of - flowers, frogs and love hearts.
Then we made green and pink icing.
Pink is coming back as a spiffingly
good colour for girls of all ages (and
some boys). Rocco loves a nice dark
pink. Then we put happy faces onto the
icing, (already on top of the cookies).
We used silver balls and micro
marshmallows.
Then we ate three each.
Then we felt sicky and ex-hausted
so we watched telly.
Happy days back at school.
ps. I'm not going back to school today.
I'm going to Australia... on a hunt for
a wild wombat called Wilhemina - more
soon. dont be too jealous. LM x
